Test a listener

Testing a listener means to check whether the listener is configured properly to alert the members as configured in the escalation policy. Follow the below steps to test a listener

• Go the "Listener" tab on the left sidebar

• Click on the three-dot menu icon in front of the listener that you want to test

• Click on "Trigger Listener"

• This will trigger the listener and you should hear an alarm on the app of the first assignee configured in the escalation policy of the listener.

• Then if you have further triggers defined in the escalation policy, then the alarms should ring on other members' phones as well as configured in the escalation policy.

• The escalation should stop once the incident is closed by either confirming the alarm on any of the assignee's app or closing it from the web application.
